Memorial Day Weekend in OKC
Celebrating Memorial Day in Oklahoma City is now easier than ever with attractions, festivals and outdoor recreation.
Festivals
The popular Paseo Arts District will hold its annual Paseo Arts Festival which features over 100 visual artists, live performers and food vendors. This festival is meant to feature the original artwork of Oklahomans. There is also the Chuck Wagon Festival held at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Guests can enjoy activities such as butter making, bandana decorating, Western reenactments and more.
OKC Attractions
With all OKC has to offer, it can be hard to choose. Walk the Oklahoma City National Memorial or see the animals at the Oklahoma City Zoo. Ride the rapids at the RIVERSPORT Rapids & Adventures. Catch an OKC Baseball club game at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark that is followed by fireworks each night!
Outdoor Recreation
OKC has so many parks, trails and outdoor adventures for visitors. Stop at the Boathouse District to rent a stand-up paddleboard or kayak to get out on the Oklahoma River or rent a paddleboat at the Scissortail Park boathouse. Walk through the Myriad Botanical Gardens, Martin Nature Park or the Bluff Creek Trail. Many of the trails are walkable or allow for mountain biking if that is more your speed!
