Lake Hefner
One of the most popular spots in the area, this loop is a popular spot for running, biking, fishing or just enjoying an Oklahoma sunset. The loop is a 9.8-mile paved trail that takes visitors through the Lake Hefner Golf Course, Stars and Stripes Park, restaurants, parks and more.
Bluff Creek
Located right next to Lake Hefner, Bluff Creek offers both paved and dirt trails. The dirt trails are the perfect place for mountain biking or hiking. The trail is 9 miles in length with a 3.8-mile unpaved loop. These trails are maintained by a group of local volunteers. This is a great option for enjoying nature offers while still in the city.
Oklahoma River Trail
The Oklahoma River Trail is one of the longest trail systems in OKC, spanning nearly 14 miles. The trail travels through several parts of the city including the Boathouse District, Wheeler Park and Bricktown. You can always catch someone on the trail running, biking or even rollerblading.
Katy Trail
This trail is a hidden gem in OKC. The Katy Trail takes visitors through some of the city’s most well-known spots and all through the Adventure District. People will be able to see the Science Museum, Remington Park, Oklahoma City Zoo, Oklahoma City Railway Museum and much more. The Katy Trail is 7.3 miles in length and offers nearly the full distance with trail space and has a few places of on-the-road bike lanes.
