The deadCenter film festival is set to return in 2024 with a full weekend of events, panels and films. The deadCenter film festival is Oklahoma’s largest and only Oscar-qualifying fest, with the winner of two short film categories eligible for an Academy Award.
This highly anticipated festival is set to take place June 6-9 in different locations around Oklahoma City. Films of all kinds will be shown, including the seventh release from OKC Thunder, Bismack. Bismack is a film all about the life and journey of NBA player Biyombo Bismack. Other films include Cricket, Hailey’s Game and On the Lawn: This is a film about the Black Keys.
Panels will also be held with various film industry-related topics and speakers such as dreams and abstract motivations, sound and music, cinematic advocacy and more.
Passes to the festival are available to purchase. The festival offers two passes, the DC Festival Pass, or the individual ticket.
The DC Festival pass is priced at $200 and gives the attendee access to all the film screenings, parties, panels and special events throughout the festival. These pass holders are given early entrance to film screenings, access to all panels, networking events and parties, food, drinks and more.
Individual tickets are available only 20 minutes before a screening, after VIP and deadCenter pass holders are seated. These tickets are priced at $10 and are not sold in advance. Festival representatives recommend that individual ticket holders are in line as early as possible to see their desired film, as seating is based on a first come first serve basis.
